Slept, cooked, ate and again slept, an evening walk followed by dinner with calls to family in-between.No physical exercises, no mental exercises, I just chilled today. Spent the day in complete harmony and peace with self.

That's all for today from my side..

Day51: If someone is strong enough to bring you down, show them that you are strong enough to get up. - Unknown

Yesterday's incidence kept lingering in my subconscious mind last night and early morning today. I got up late and with a headache. I was in state of despair for some period.

Well!...I cannot be in that state for long (I have no right to be...my family deserves a much better Narendra, for what they have given me...) I decided to start fresh once again and stay focused on work. Other things will make its way. Though it was not a very productive day, things have started taking shape. Also, yesterday's anger of mine worked positively for our team. It is a very challenging project and I see it as an immense learning opportunity. And I am going to take the maximum out of this Project.

Moving on, I skipped Gym today and have decided to take rest next 2 days as well which means, only  two days of workout this week (violating the minimum benchmark set by me of 3 days every week for M-70). I would be making up for this in the subsequent week and that's a commitment (To be evaluated in Week 8).

I have been an admirer of Arnav Goswami, the editor in chief of Times Now TV channel. This evening was watching his 'Newhour' program. I am really impressed by the way he represents the common man, how he completely involves himself and fearlessly challenges the dirty politicians who are menace to society. I dedicate this day to Arnav, who is using the media power in the best possible way.

Good Night

Day50: If your emotional abilities aren't in hand, if you don't have self-awareness, if you are not able to manage your distressing emotions, if you can't have empathy and have effective relationships, then no matter how smart you are, you are not going to get very far - Daniel Goleman

Why I am the way I am? I am yet to discover my self completely, in fact am far away from knowing WHO I am? It was a day which once again exposed myself to my weaknesses which make me so imperfect...

At office it was a hot temper day for me. Seeing minimal response from the Dev Team with whom I had to coordinate with in my new project (Cardinal Health Account). This afternoon before lunch, I wrote down a mail for their prompt reply and had asked them to ensure that the resources are well in place while imparting KT. This was escalated by them replying to analyze my words before writing mails. I had few verbal (but professional, I think so...my perspective) exchanges with them in front of their manager. This was clearly revealing my short-tempered nature. I did not have any control over-self at  that time. I bursted into anger. Their manager, their team... I was definitely on the weaker side. The positive side of this incidence was that, immediately after all this, they were quite ready to help at one go and they started taking us seriously.
Another aspect of me is whatever I do, I put all my emotions, be it work or in maintaining relationships. Something not always recommended They say that the quality of a good leader is that he works amicably with all team getting all work done, however that is not the case with me. I lock horns when required. Will I ever become a good leader? A big question mark..

Early in the morning, went to the Gym (M70 - M3W7D21). I weighed 77.9 Kgs today after the workouts which despaired me for a while. I thought it was 77.4 Kgs after the workouts yesterday and an increae of 0.5 Kgs after workouts today. It's going to be tough, very tough...

Already entered into 07th Dec 2012 territory...

Day49: “Talent is cheap; dedication is expensive. It will cost you your life.” ― Irving Stone, The Agony and the Ecstasy

Tue/Wed, 04/05 Dec 2012;11:40pm
Electronic City, Bangalore

I took a day's rest from this electronic media (Laptop & Internet) yesterday (04-Dec) after office hours and that's the reason for my absence on my Daily Gratitude page. So, now I will update my major activities for both days.

Okay. Let me begin with yesterday's. I skipped gym and had a busy day at work. Enjoyed my walk and the 'Samosa chat' by the 'chat-wala' from Banaras, UP.

Today (M70- M3W7D20), went to Gym after a 3 day's break. After the workouts, weighed 77.4 Kgs. The positive side is that for past 2 weeks, I can observe that the weight has remained in the range of 77.3 to 78.6 and that's indeed something to cheer about. Let me give a pat to myself for this small but important achievement of mine. I must remember that I am still far away from my target (of 70 Kgs). So, stay focused Narendra and keep working on.

It was yet another busy day at work. I feel amazed to see my colleague, Moumita who works with such a dedication and determination though a junior to me. Even though She's just over 2 years of experience her deliverables overide people with 6-7 years of experience. You inspire me, Moumita.

With that I call it a day.

Day48: “Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.” - Unknown

Monday, 03 Dec 2012; 9:20pm
Electronic City, Bangalore

It was a normal business day today at work. Got resources in place in my new project so that I can work in full-flow from tomorrow onwards, have to deliver in less time here and its going to be very challenging in coming days. No gym in the morning today though walked all the way from office to home (around 4 kms) in the evening after office.

Thats all for today.

Good Night

Day47: "Neki kar Dariya Mei Daal"

Sunday, 02 Dec 2012, 10:45pm
Electronic City, Bangalore

What's in a name. I see some people counting on things they have done for their younger brothers, sisters or any other relative. They say the other person exists just b'coz of them. I rarely see any parents doing such acts. I personally feel, the value of any good deed is reduced if you start using it for self-praise. In short one should follow 'Neki kar daria mei dal' approach.

I didn't have any control over my short-tempered nature on third day in a row. When I start speaking on something I dislike, my anger multiplies every second, tone is at it's peak and all the negative traits come inside. It happened thrice today, certainly a day I would like to forget.

I went to SBI PBB kormangala to get some personal work done and was quite amazed to see the services of the elderly Lady Manager who helped promptly with a cute smile. Kudos to such people who bring life to the services they do. Enjoyed the special north Indian Thali with a 'Gulab Jamun' and couple of 'vanila' scoops in a local restaurant at 80 Feet Road. All in all, walked around 6 Kms today.

Later in the evening had my hair cut, enjoyed the 'champi - tel malish' for head. It was such a good feeling. 2 days of non-stop without any restraint cheat meals and tomorrow being a Monday, I am going to take a rest from work-outs.

Good Night to Everyone.

Day46: "When angry, count ten before you speak; if very angry, count to one hundred." Thomas Jefferson

Saturday, 01st Dec 2012;9:30pm
Electronic City, Bangalore

I started the day by going to Gym today (M-70 - M3W6D19) after which I went to a Bank at Kormangala for some personal work... after meticulous search for location of the Bank, learnt that it is a Bank Holiday meaning I would have to take time on some working day to get the job done..Gurrrrr!!!

Somehow I feel that the yesterday's anger element is still there in me and mere thought of the incidence aggravates my anger. Gosh! I want to control my anger seriously.

Thereafter, I got my 3 years old specs frame replaced and in the meanwhile enjoyed Chicken Biriyani at a local restaurant. Evening was again Chicken-Chawal special. So enough of chiken now, not going to have it in next 15-20 days.

And now I am watching Talaash, the Aamir Khan movie. Guys its a good website (http://onlinehindimovie.net/ ). You can watch the latest hindi movies with some compromise over the picture quality :)

So for now, over to Aamir and his Talaash..

Good Night
